Lintels combined with prestressed beams LEIER STRONG N-115x71 are elements closing door and window openings in ceramic wall constructions of various purpose and thickness. They are composed of three cooperating elements:

1. LEIER STRONG N-115x71 prefabricated prestressed beams

2. Beam superstructures - superstructures or reinforced concrete

3. Reinforced concrete ceiling wreath

Prefabricated prestressed beams are placed just above the openings and are a stretched part of the lintel. They are composed of ceramic channel blocks, concrete and prestressing wires. Their dimensions are 11.5 cm x 7.1 cm. Prestressing is based on pre-stretching the wires with considerable force, which after the concrete has bound and released it is transferred directly to the beam. It then causes that the beam has a higher load capacity than a traditional beam, which is reinforced with unstressed bars.

The superstructure of the beams together with the ceiling wreath is a compressed zone. The brick wall is made of two or three layers of full brick or lattice laid on mortar on a prefabricated beam. If a high lintel load capacity is required, the wall structure is replaced by over-concreting beams with a height of two or three layers of brick.

The reinforced concrete ceiling wreath, created directly on the superstructure, is the highest compressed part of the lintel.
