There is usually no need to dilute Knauf Firepaint products. Thinner 5% (by volume) can only be used on surfaces where a small dry film thickness is required (<225 μm dry film, 300 μm wet film). Use Knauf Firepaint Finish Thinner AL thinner. After thinning, the coating resistance to sedimentation is reduced, therefore, 1,500 μm dry film thickness cannot be obtained for Knauf Firepaint Steel.
