Classic 042 mineral wool at ECOSE® Technology is made of fiberglass. This is general purpose material. The main application as heat and sound insulation in horizontal constructions (e.g. thick-ribbed wooden ceilings, skeletal-transom constructions or skeletal constructions) laid between the beams of inter-story floors. Above rooms with high water vapor pressure (e.g. elevated temperature or high relative humidity) vapor barrier film should be used to protect the insulation material against permanent moisture. The material can also be used in wall constructions with ventilated façades and wooden or metal skeleton wall constructions. In the constructions of skeletal walls, a vapor barrier should be laid on the inside to protect the partition against condensation moisture. From the outside in skeleton wall constructions or in the case of ventilated facades, it is recommended to lay wind insulation to eliminate wind blown insulation. in the case of metal cassette walls, the vapor barrier function is performed by the internal metal cladding.
