Knauf HYDRO FLEX as a liquid sealing film / coating is a ready-to-use, one-component. It is used as a highly plastic liquid mass for sealing wall and floor surfaces for ceramic tiles.

Application:
- for sealing under ceramic cladding and natural stone cladding
- as a protection against penetration of moisture and water (e.g. in bathrooms, shower cabins, kitchens, laundries and sanitary facilities)

Contrary to popular belief, ceramic tiles do not guarantee full protection of the substrate against moisture. Although the tiles themselves are impermeable to water, the joints between them are not 100% waterproof. Even with very thorough pointing, micro-cracks remain between the tiles, through which moisture penetrates. It's a simple way to grow fungi and mold. To avoid this, it's best to insulate the surface under the tiles with Knauf Hydro Flex liquid film. The film creates a waterproof coating that forms a moisture barrier and prevents it from entering the substrate.
Knauf Hydro Flex - Application
Waterproofing with Knauf Hydro Flex liquid foil is very easy and, what is important, does not require the use of specialized tools. This makes it a great product for both professionals and less skilled DIY enthusiasts. The liquid foil is ready to use immediately after opening. It can be applied to the surface with a brush, paint roller or brush.
