TUFF-TAPE TAPE APPLICATION: TUFF-TAPE tape is used to connect gypsum boards on flat surfaces (such as ceiling or walls) in place of mesh, interlining, paper tape, paper tape with aluminum insert, and for finishing internal corners. The tape is perfect for masking cracks and scratches on ceilings and walls, as well as for repairing surfaces where the mesh or paper have been damaged. TUFF-TAPE, due to the lack of reaction with water, is used in places exposed to moisture, where the paper tape could be damaged (e.g. near bathtubs and showers).
